Seamus Coleman is a throwback to when players played for the love of the game and their club rather than the love of money.

An extraordinary servant of the club whose contribution will only be downplayed by those who don't understand what this game should be about, not measured by money and silverware alone.
His service is all the more outstanding because it came at a time when the club was at a low ebb.

Coleman, probably more than anyone kept us as a Premiership team.

In time I think he will go into management and be successful.
Not only does he have the personality to inspire but the mental toughness to succeed.

I have no doubt it will be at Everton

What a player for us. Players with his kind of attitude are unfortunately going to become more and more rare it seems. And will never forget some of the outrageous goals he scored at his peak.

And more than that, what a great person/influence he clearly is off the pitch. Really hope he stays involved in some capacity.

I will have to find a new favourite active player from next season!

He evokes something ethereal in me, the best bits about supporting this football club.

He has always seemed so proud and so committed to Everton, which like many is how I would like to imagine myself if I had the opportunity to play for the club.

He is the last player from the generation that spanned my late childhood and early adulthood to where I am now.

I am gutted Baines and Coleman never got to win a trophy, but my oh my wouldn't it be good to see them do so as a grown up at the club.
