The fact we were nearly down tells its own story. He came up with crucial goals even in the last few years. Without the goal he scored against Leeds we were down.

Seamus had some very good seasons and he has been committed to the club. I could not knock him for that. To me though he is a symbol of plucky Everton who will run all day in the hope that we can match talent. There are no medals in relegation battles. How do you mean?
I read he has been offered a role for us , but he may think about it over the summer & maybe take up a different offer back in Ireland ...?

I'd be willing to bet £60,000 that he hasn't had a single offer from another club since breaking his leg in 2017.That's no fault of the player, who could have been part of any successful Everton side of the past.
Hels not a symbol of failure, he's a symbol of a player who stayed loyal to a club in the doldrums.

There wasn’t a single offer before that either, from anyoneI'd be willing to bet £60,000 that he hasn't had a single offer from another club since breaking his leg in 2017.
I agree although as you say, we offer the man what is essentially big money for hanging round with his mates through the week and then the best seat in the house come matchday… He’s not going to say no!Some of the last few contract renewals do leave a sour taste as he would have known he can't offer much on the pitch. In fairness to him he's going to sign if a deals on the table and he knows other clubs won't offer him a contract.
Maybe for three or four seasons of the umpteen he has been here. But one man can never make a team or a club. We have been a terrible club for years. Hopefully our new owners will change that in time. That's no fault of the player, who could have been part of any successful Everton side of the past.

Sadly true!I agree although as you say, we offer the man what is essentially big money for hanging round with his mates through the week and then the best seat in the house come matchday… He’s not going to say no!
Our shambolic recruitment is the only reason he’s been here for the last 3 years because he’s offered the square root of FA on the pitch to justify his wages.
I will take that bet because I know there was….I'd be willing to bet £60,000 that he hasn't had a single offer from another club since breaking his leg in 2017.
Was going to say the same myself. There wasn’t a single offer before that either, from anyone
When the fun stops, stop.I will take that bet because I know there was….
It wasn’t a PL club that I know about - it was a big drop.
