Seamus Coleman Calls Time On Everton Playing Career

For all of Seamus Colemans exploits on the pitch, the image I will always remember was seeing him in the directors seating area at Goodison, whilst he was recovering from his broken leg. James McCarthy suffered his leg break on the pitch and Seamus immediately took off down the steps in order to be with him. It showed the class and empathy of the man, a quality that is lacking with many of the players in football these days.

Met him a few times on flights home after matches. Talking about the GAA season or the LOI.
Always respectful, it emphasized how much luck is involved in football when he was asking about other LOI players who he referred to as being 'very good'.
Always got a chuckle at his hands up running style like he was carrying the ball in Gaelic.
Enjoy the retirement, Donegal are tragic and I hope the kids don't have to much of an existential crisis trying on a Killybegs (their pitch is a spectacular location) jersey 👇😂.
