Genuinely chuffed to bits when he signed. Having watched him in two or three games, I am seriously disappointed with him.

He appears bereft of confidence. The simplest of passes go astray, his ball control is appalling and he looks absolutely lost.

Sadly, I can’t see any way back for him.

Not sure he even wants to be here to be honest. Not like our initial interest in him given his release clause was met with a yes please Mr Moonhead.

He backed himself when leaving Barca and negotiated a release fee for the end of that season to attract interest from Europe’s big clubs. Now that seemed to motivate him to control the ball first time, make runs inside and look a dangerous prospect.

After Athletico’s transfer appeal was rejected, the list of suitors was looking thin & suddenly our reported £100k+ per week looked sufficiently attractive to sign.

For a lad who doesn’t speak the language, with few team mates who do, the reality of having to deliver on a consistent basis in a team lacking cohesion and a style to suit, no wonder he looks lost. He is. Both on and off the field if he ain’t driving/can’t drive or have the benefit of anything resembling normal when you are at your third team in three years.

Up to him to deliver now and not fall over when he gets the ball. Test of character and resolve? You bet.

Be an interesting one to one with the chew gumming one that’s for sure.

Looking more likely that he will be off, you can’t blame him, he has not really been given a go here. The flip side of that is, we don’t know how he has been in training, might come accross as lazy, disinterested, etc.

There is still the story that Valencia want him, but only on loan, also a story that Barca May take him back as part of a deal seeing Paco Alcacer coming here. Alcacer wants to play as much as possible to get in the Spain squad for the World Cup

He definitely wants out of Everton so we should let him leave on loan until the end of the season. To a prem club ideally but I reckon hell insist he wants to be back in Spain.
