Not sure on the rooney coming in deep to be honest. Little disappointed at the moment needs to clear his head and sort himself out. I know I'll get negged for it but still think davy boy can come in from deep. Doesn't look afraid to get in the box.

Agree in that I'd like to see DK played alongside a Gana or MS.

Initial impressions are that he won't make it in this league as a lone striker. Should only be played in a front 2/3 as things stand. I actually think he looks like he's got something about him though.

I think he's been thrown to the wolves partly by the system, he isn't a lone forward currently.

We looked at our best going this season int he second half against Stoke with the following front 3:

Sandro----DCL----Rooney

DCL through the middle for his hold up, aerial ability and harassing defenders.

Sandro for his pace, looking to get in behind and to get shots off.

And finally Rooney dropping deeper to feed them or link up with others.

I'd like to see it more but suspect Koeman will seldom start both Sandro and DCL given that we have no other strikers.

Looked decent when he came on against Atalanta and I thought looked sharp today as well.

Hopefully he's just starting to get to grips with everything now and his 1st goal is just around the corner

I was at the game and watched his off the ball positioning carefully. He looks completely lost, had no positional discipline and isn't being helped by the rubbish team and tactics around him.
