Deadly serious. Look at the players Moyes unearthed, some absolute gems came through our doors during his time at GP. We need Big Sam to douse those smouldering embers of relegation talk.

He's a sad indictment of where we are - but we are where we are. 8 points from 30, a horribly disjointed, unbalanced squad, trouble at the top of the club, and players who at the very least aren't physically fit enough. People are wailing about 'transfer kickbacks' - true, it's abhorrent, so don't let him anywhere near the cookie jar. All deals go through a DoF , that's what they are there for.

We can't do the basics, Allardyce specialises in this. One season, short contract, get the club safe and on sound footing, pay £6m+ a season to a top manager and take it from there. Oh, and find £80m+ from somewhere for two strikers.
