Sam Allardyce On Everton

Sam Allardyce has admitted a club of Everton's stature would have to be considered if he was approached.

Allardyce: "Who knows? I'd have to consider that if that phone call happens.

"There's no point in speculating at the moment. David Unsworth is in the chair, Joe [Royle] sat upstairs will have an opinion today and probably from the Chelsea game.

"At the moment it looks like it's going to be really tough for Everton to get out of that position. Not that the lads are not trying, but as a team collectively they can't get a clean sheet and as a team in possession, they can't score a goal. Those are the two problems - if you resolve one, you'll end up resolving the other."

I've got to give it to him, he's good.

He's almost circumvented the need for an interview with that bottom bit.

That's 100% " come and get me "

What other options do we have?

Dyche? Unlike Big Sam, he has been relegated once before.

Moyes? His last job ended in relegation.

Tuchel? Boss manager, but even the best usually take time to adapt to a foreign league. And at this stage we need a manager who can hit the ground running.

The other guys we've linked with, such as Giggs and Neville, are complete novices. And the last thing you need in a crisis is a green manager who's learning on the job.

And to be fair to Allardyce, he's never gone somewhere and done a bad job. The job he did at Bolton was particularly impressive. When he was appointed by Bolton they were a rubbish Championship side. And he ended up taking them into Europe.

Forget Tuchel and Ancelotti, now isnt the time, we need Sam because the reality is we are in a right mess and while Ancelotti might have a bit of Premiership experience we need a manager who is experienced at beating the drop

It's actually happening isn't it? I don't really have a problem with Allardyce, it's the headset and Sammy Lee that bothers me the most.

it don't matter if big sam or anyone else gets the job, you wont please everyone, as for saying he plays crap football! are we thinking our football is good? give him till the end of the season , what have we got to loose, no point jumping in now for ancholoti just because hes available

He's good at what he does but we don't really have the players to play his way. Also he'd be off again in May with the mess still there. Dyche if we have to go British otherwise Tuchel is exciting.
