Well yes - Rondon didn't offer much attacking wise but did put in a few tackles and make himself a nuisance which broke up the play and allowed us to get back on the ball.

A kid wet behind the ears may not do that.

When he's matchfit he'll have that extra half second on the ball or get there slightly earlier to set himself. He was a good footballer for Newcastle and West Brom, just unfit right now.

He's been in China for two years, during a pandemic, barring a loan spell in Russia.

He's 32.

He's not going to have anywhere near the level of fitness that he did before.

It's something like 4 months since he has played a game ,before he joined us , and that was at a lower level.
It will take him a few months to get up to the required levels at his age.
Don't think he was expected to be playing full games at this stage.
Looks like a fella from the crowd has won a lottery and gets to play for the team at the moment.
