Always had a bit of a soft spot for Rondon following the McCarthy leg break incident, and the way he saved Yedlin from a nasty fall. It’s the little things I remember. Hopefully he will score a few and contribute during his time here.

I think the club is now hoping for the rehabilitation of Gbamin and Iwobi to meet the midfield and rw gaps. RB is a glaring hole but I genuinely think Benitez will just use Holgate as cover.

totally agree. TBH I think not getting a RB for the last 4 years is something that needs to be addressed at the AGM, it's something they must have identified (otherwise why loan Sidebe) and the situ hasn't improved since then.

Other than that I'm not too upset - I'd have liked to get rid of Delph as I think he's a bad character. The rest of them... good enough squad fillers.

At least he'll come in happy and motivated, having worked with Benitez before. Similar kind of profile to Dominic Calvert-Lewin as well so more of a like-for-like which suits this new system more.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him have far more of an impact that King did, even Kean.
