I think the club is now hoping for the rehabilitation of Gbamin and Iwobi to meet the midfield and rw gaps. RB is a glaring hole but I genuinely think Benitez will just use Holgate as cover.

Benitez may think he's seen that he can improve Kenny. Best to look on the bright side.

If he turns out to be better than Kean, Tosun or King (which shouldn't be too hard), then we will all be happy.

Its not a bad move. If Dom gets subbed or picks up an injury we can still play in the same style. Problem with Kean was when played upfront Dom he wants the ball the feet which is a total change in play style.

It must be much easier to drill a team in a certain way of playing and not have to change too much depending on who is on the pitch.
