Khan could have stopped it but didn't, so we can assume that he is in favour. I find Tommy Robinson a despicable character but its a pity that you don't equate his freedom of speech with your own. The whole balloon thing is childish and the insult to a visiting head of state is immature but sadly, not surprising.

No, Khan didn’t stop it as he couldn’t find good reason as to why. It’s freedom of speech and expression.

Where have I spoken about Robinson’s right to free speech? He got jailed for breaching the terms of his suspended sentence, and pleaded guilty btw.

A narcissistic hate peddling bigot who has mocked the disabled, grabbed women by the crotch, is the subject of numerous sexual assault accusations, is an obvious misogynist, put kids in cages at the Mexican border, uses words like ‘infestation’ about immigrants to dehumanise them and has created a weird ‘post truth’ culture where he derides anything that he doesn’t agree with as ‘fake news’. The man is vile and I have no issue with Brits making him aware that we’re not having him.

Not sure what all the fuss is about the London mayor position, apart from being the capital, the position of London Mayor is just figurehead compared to the proceeding Mayoral positions. Andy Burnham position is far influential to its electorate!

So long as it's passed as safe for air traffic then it's nothing more than an expensive banner on a long piece of string. Flick through the majority of the newspapers in this country and the USA over the last couple of years and you'll see much more vicious cartoons of Trump that will have been seen by many more people.

Khan didn’t organise the balloon, so any equivalence with Erdogan has nothing to do with him. Albeit there were protests against Erdogan in London that we’re granted permission, just no balloon.....

In allowing this balloon to fly, he’s done so as he can see no reason why this doesn’t just simply constitute free speech. A principle which Trump and his followers are supposedly massive advocates of. Personally I think it’s a bit childish, but then so is Trump, so it’s probably rather apt. I find it hilarious that the far right “Free Tommy” and people like yourself are getting so upset by this.

It’s not the balloon which few people will actually see, certainly not Trump. It’s about his public spat with Trump, which should not be getting in the way of U.K./USA relations, and his double standards approach with visiting world leaders. He is a lightweight, sixth former type, Mayor.......

Trump described London as a ‘war zone’ due to knife crime, whilst speaking to his beloved sponsors the NRA and trying to use that lie to somehow justify his stance on US gun law. Khan didn’t rise to it. So what public spat are you referring to?
