Drenthe's probably caused more goals against than goals for.

Do you think so? i don't.

This next bit isn't aimed at you azz.

Like moyes if all you are bothered about is not taking risks and the defensive atributes or our attacking players. you all deserve what you get from moyes. i for one couldn't give a fcuk anymore and will gladly walk out of goodison park after the final whistle against Newcastle never to to watch the utter ****e he playes evey week again.

well said, am surprised that there aren't more comments of this nature against moyes on these forums, the neville substitution at the weekend was the last straw for me, the man genuinely must not have the ability or confidence or both to try and win a game by actually simply attacking, our 11 will beat wigans 11 everyday, why handicap ourselves by setting ourselves up like that?? And the most infuriating thing is that his 'shutout' tactics dont even work!!!!!

im not having that im afraid mate, even when he does lose it he chases it back like a mad man. Cant believe people are having a pop at his workrate, his concentratio can be poor but he runs his socks off.

On a free its no brainer, but I've absolutely no doubt Moyes wont sign him.

Spot on. It's a bit of a myth really, I could understand it if he had a laid back style but Royston plays a high energy game and is so obviously not lazy. He's far from a luxury player.

I don't think people realise how difficult it is for a club like Everton to get a player like Royston. He's that wing forward we've needed for ages, someone who can create and be a goal threat himself. Run in behind, beat players one on one, cut inside and shoot from distance, we haven't had a player like that since Kanchelskis.

Unless he's really difficult to work with, which I don't think he is, then I can see Moyes going for him.

I agree with everything you have written except this. or he will p1ss him off that much i won't want to stay.

Anyone else of the opinion that Royston and his agent are just using us as stepping stones? Love him to stay and hope he does.

Anyone wonder what wages he would command?

I just can't see him missing out on a quality player for free in our financial situations. We might even struggle to tie up a deal for Pienaar, so Drenthe is one of the cheaper options. People have talked about his wage but he played for Feyenoord and signed for Real Madrid at a young age, I reckon he's on 50k a week at the most.

Whether or not he actually wants to sign a deal with us, I'm not so sure. You might be right there.

Do you think he will play him when donavan has gone? i'm not so sure he likes him as a player.

Against Villa and Sunderland and other games Drenthe has cost more than he has added to the teams. He started both those games. Against City, although doing well in the build up to the goal, he was poor throughout and we were lucky that Hibbert and Heitinga were absolutely awesome. What we've seen suggests for the time being at least, he is far more effective as a substitute.

What do you mean cost more than he has added, what utter ****e. He tries things! sometimes they come off some times they don't, that makes him exciting. if you want boring predictable safe football good for you.

And as for the game against city, the drenthe richards duel was a highlight.
