Royston Drenthe

Regardless of whether he's a good fit for the team or the amount of time we'll play him, we should at least, from a business stand point, look to sign him. For a fair wage and no fee, the sell on value alone should be why we're after him.

The second striker/ ACM role

Pienaar - yes
Ossie - yes
Barkley - yes
Donovan - yes

Cahill - no
Fellani - no
Drenthe - no
Vic/vellios/straq - no

Ossie Donovan Barkley and pienaar are all natural there and will keep the ball and create.
Isn't that enough options? Why we see others play there confuses me more than anything else in our team.

Sign Royston up, he's uber ace a typical winger, on his day he's unplayable other days the game passes him by or things he tries don't come off i will take that at least he TRIES to entertain the crowd with pleasing football. Wingers are a strange breed but if your going to use one then you have to accept some games they won't be at the races, thats part of their excitement for me.

He's exciting, there's energy when he breaks, he only has one thing on his mind and that's attacking and moving forward. He's a liability at times but he's also a player we've sorely missed for many many a year.......

Wouldn't mind signing him for free. Presumably he'd command a good price if we were to sell him for whatever reason in the future, as EvertonRich says. He's a liability now but if he sorted his head out he could be Moyes' best bargain, he has that much ability.

A liability who when playing creates more than the rest of the team put together.

On his day he's a top top player, he tries things other players haven't got the balls to do, everytime he gets the ball he heads towards the opponents goal that alone worries defenders as they know he does have the ability to do beat them, not all wingers can be as prolific as Ronaldo but at least he gives it ago and like i said earlier sometimes he will give the ball away whilst trying to create chances for us. I can deal with that if he's good enough to be signed for real madrid then christ why should we say hes not good enough.

I doubt very much he will ever become a full blown Everton player. The club would have announced something by now.
Even if he was free I doubt we could afford him, his agent probably wants a huge signing on fee and wages we couldnt afford. Hopefully we can get a few more games out of him.
