Well I didn't jot them all down in a little diary, but he definitely played a fair few games for us centrally. He also plays for South Africa centrally, so all I was saying (as I clarified already) is that these players are capable of playing centrally and it's not even like they'd be playing out of position. Whether or not you were saying that you don't believe that or that Moyes doesn't believe that I really don't care, the fact is that them going central instead of Fellaini going up top is a very viable option.

Pienaar very rarely played centrally for Everton. Fact.
I KNOW he plays that role for South Africa. Everyone does.
Of course they are capable of playing centrally. I said so above.
Of course one of them playing there instead of Fellaini is not only a viable option, it is also desirable. Although I would prefer a 2nd striker myself (Anichebe yesterday).
I don't care if you don't care.

Wind your neck in mate. I'm fed up of arguments on here. If you yourself also agree that Fellaini going up top was the wrong move then I don't see why we're arguing. You'd rather have seen a second striker, I'd rather have seen Drenthe at RM and LD behind a striker (as I said at the time).

Your post stinks of pedantry to be honest. My original post on here (although in the Drenthe thread) was about LD going behind the striker but the bigger picture is how Moyes elected to shunt Felli up front and unsettle our midfield when he had other options -- whatever your preferred option was.

Dishing out the insults tonight, aren't you. Pedantry ? Koff. YOU pulled me up in this thread on something I mentioned in another thread about Moyes' preferred options for Pienaar, Donovan, and Drenthe, and have tried to imply that I agree with this, despite me having said on more than one occasion that I don't.

You then INVENTED something I am supposed to have said: "Contrary to what the Equaliser said on here earlier (think it was him) they're not all rigid widemen". Sorry for having the bare-faced cheek to actually point out to you that I didn't say that at all.

Then you come out with disparaging stuff about 'nonsense' and that you 'don't care' whether or not I believe that, when I have already (again) said that I don't.

You continue to dig a hole for yourself by insisting again and again that Pienaar has played "a lot" of games centrally, when you know for a fact that the hasn't. Because I point his out to you, you then resort to insults by telling me to 'wind my neck in'. Horrible isn't it, when someone points out that you are talking complete bollox.

It's like talking to a teenager FFS. Oh wait...

The fact that I said "think it was him" should show that I wasn't trying to have a go at you, just the point that they're not set-in-stone widemen. I really wasn't trying to pick a fight and I when I said rigid widemen I wasn't trying to quote you word for word, just extrapolate the point I thought you were making. It wasn't directly in reply to you because again I wasn't trying to disagree with you, just any assertion that Donovan couldn't play behind a striker. That's seemingly not your belief and as I've said since maybe it's just Moyes'. I didn't really understand your point it seems because saying they've been brought to the club as widemen and that's why they're not playing central doesn't really make sense. Moyes is known for playing players in various positions and as I've said LD and Pienaar can play centrally.

Pienaar may not have played centrally as often as I recall for us and so I apologise for being so matter of fact. Maybe it's his tendency to drift central and the dominance he showed doing so when Arteta was missing that caused me confusion. I could swear he partnered Fell during that period but maybe it was Osman. Again, apologies if so but this is what I meant by pedantry. I'm just getting frustrated because we're arguing about things tangential to the core of the point I was trying to make.

That is what my response would have been had you not replied with that last line. Hypocritically you're doing nothing there but trying to cause offence to me, and because of that you can do one you nasty, odious little man, and join the exclusive club of GOT belters I've got on ignore.

Fair enough.

I'm so offended. I'm going to ask Matt Damon for some counselling on how to deal with this crisis. It was well out of order for me to call you a teenager, when in fact,............you have stated that you are one. Terrible stuff altogether. Strange that you think you know what height I am though...

leave it out boys

To be honest, I think that it is imperative that Everton try and lock up Drethe on a permanent deal. Pienaar may be great, but he is also 29, and he would be better off getting Pranjic on a free than pay Spurs double what they payed us for Stevie P

I'll level with you all. I'm just quoting this so RuFuS can see it despite having The EQ on ignore.

Carry on guys.
