I don't know why you have to be so abrupt all the time. You make me look super polite.

Not once did i say he should take 2/3 less, i was just saying that it's not an issue of being able to set his family up for life, that's what AF was getting at.

There are plenty of people in the 'real world' who care about more than money, just because you don't believe it doesn't make them disappear.

Nice strawman. Never said there weren't people in this world who care more about money than anything else.

But, while we're on it, it's painfully obvious that there are plenty of people in this world who are "do as I say, not as I do." Yeah, take less money because some Evertonians said so and then try and take some sort of moral high ground.

Laughing here.

christ he will have to go some.

"a few more van gogh paintings on the fire dear" lol

Right, cause he publicizes what he does with his money.

So let's not assume what he does with it.

And I guarantee that if we were to find out what he or any other footballers did in terms of charitable giving, etc... they'd get slated by the cynics on here. In short, they can't win.

Its not just his future he needs to plan for mate.

Look we all think we do things differently, but unless we are ever in the same situation, we cant say how we would play it, I would like to think I would kiss goodbye to all that money, but the reality is, ive got a family, its not just me I need to think about.

You can't blame Rooney for not taking a pay cut.

He's got to set his kids up to go to uni and maybe buy them their first car.

Not sure that £70m+ will cover it.

Who is taking the moral high ground.

Ah, so having more money is inversely related to quality of life.

Myth.

Did I say it was? All I did was point out that money has different weight to different people.

Infract me or ban me if you want, as I don't care, but the tone in some of your posts is absolutely pathetic.

That's me done for this thread, anyway.

I am pretty sceptic of millionaires giving money to charity, tbh. If only cos bill gates has been a philanthropist for years and is still the richest man in the world.

That show an inefficiency at donating money that is most uncharacteristic of the man.

Thing is with footballers moving for the money and stuff, imagine saying to your wife 'alright love City have offered to treble my wages there but I don't fancy it really'.

Castrated in your sleep.
