Roberto Martinez discussion

No offense mate but I had us getting 102 points at start of season, it went out the window when Leicester City napped a draw in the first game. Pointless figuring out how many points we will get. Only fixture I would say we can't get points in is Chelsea away, but most probably draw there and draw at home to Burnley.

We will still finish top 10 imo and I fancy us to do well in Europa league for some reason

in some ways i quite like that we have a chance to put all our eggs in that one basket. i'd say europe through league is possibly out of our reach now. we can give it our best shot in that, our only good performances this season have come in that competition, we can rest players in league games for that, a luxury other teams won't have. hoping city will see themselves as too big for it (they could do with a bit of european experience like) and make our path a bit easier.

even if we don't win it, next season, fresh with no World Cup distractions, all our rivals bar liverpool will have europe to contend with, we've seen last couple of seasons how it's helped teams overperform without the distraction. we can give CL a good shot with a good summer behind us tbh.

people are overreacting with these relegation shouts, the teams down there are pretty dire, they're not underperforming, they're just that bad. a team rarely under performs like we have over the course of a whole season.

There was once a dream that was Everton, you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish. It was so fragile and I fear that it will not survive the winter.
