Roberto Martinez discussion

Situations like this you have to go with your gut instinct. 1 win in 12 says he's not contributing as much as he could IMO.

But regardless we stare directly into the face of relegation if we don't beat west Brom and tough decisions will have to be taken. There simply isn't the time to procrastinate.

glad you admit your guessing, you don't need to start guessing stuff to put across your opinion

It's still all on the West Brom game and always has been. Well last few weeks anyway.

Lose and we'll be in deep poop and so will Martinez.

But, play anything like last two games and the Baggies are getting utterly humped.

Hello Kev, you still didn't answer my question before the Man City game regarding if Martinez should have been told after 5 games if results didn't improve he would be getting sacked by Crimbo?
Id have pointed a gun at his head after Swansea league cup which was as bad as any performance I've seen from us in 20 years.

Out of both cups in the first round, below par in the league. It really is a nightmarish season right now. It is retrievable though IF we can get on a run in the Europa League and claw some form back in the league.

Still worrying aspects to our play, even tonight. We're definitely struggling to create chances and break teams down at the moment.

The persistence of playing two holding midfielders is something that I really wish he'd sack off against teams who we're better than. Barkley in the role he had against QPR would offer us so much more and these games and would probably give the lad some confidence too.

Barkley Barkley Barkley, everywhere he's played this season he's been poor, could be that he's just not quite ready because he's not impressed me at all

Way I see it, 20 more points should do it as far as safety goes

41 points would hopefully be enough

WBA, Burnley and Leicester are all must win at Goodison. Win them and that's 9 in the bank.

We then need to find another 11 from somewhere

Arsenal and Chelsea away will either be losses or maybe draws if we have some luck

United and Liverpool at Goodison will be really tough games

If we're lucky, Southampton might come to Goodison and have an off day

Villa away is winnable, but they are one of our bogey teams and will likely be fighting for their lives

Stoke away has bore draw written all over it

If we're lucky, Spurs will have nothing to play for on the last day

We're running out of games to be honest

WBA is simply must win. Need the players to throw everything they have at that fixture

That role he's being asked to play is a hard one in this team. Just look at how deep our two other midfielders are and you quickly see how easy it is to mark him out the game. The opposition can afford to put two men around our number 10.

I think we've got such a good squad we'll pick up points eventually no matter what.

Even if this run continues until late February I still think we'll beat whoever we need to in order to stay up. It'd be embarrassing if it comes to that though.

One win in 12. If a British manager was at Everton for 18 months with that record most people would be calling for his scalp. Particularly having finished so high last year and spending big money (relative to out budget) in the summer.

Out of both cups, jammy in Europa so far and 3 points from the bottom 3. Not good enough
