Roberto Martinez discussion

Yep it's just me and you're not trying to have a go and it's lazy criticism to point out anything that isn't 100% supportive of Roberto.

LOL

Time to get out of this thread again.

Nope, it's not just you at all.

But, my point is valid and I stand by it.

I was screaming for him to make a sub yesterday when w were under the cosh and it's things like that I wish he'd change.

But to say he hasn't looked to change his style at all is blatantly wrong mate.

Pretty much most of you are insane and hold opinions contrary to those of normal Evertonians.

Pipe down you uber critiques, I'm made up you can't sustain a hard on you utter flutes.

I'd beat you in a fist fight with absolute ease too.

you're at that 'whisky drink' early today chuckster... but they're never going to get you down, because you...

We needed fresh legs in midfield as well as up top, but didn't really have anyone due to Besic being injured and no Gibson on the bench.

Can't really understand this Moyes V Martinez thing we have going here. Moyes is long gone, anything he did or did not do has no bearing on Martinez. It is a poor defence of Martinez to say we didn't criticise Moyes so we shouldn't criticise him.
We all want the best for Everton, some of us see positives in the improvement in the squad and the way we play on the other hand some of us look at a record of 20 wins in 64 league games and feel that isn't good enough.
We should all remember that we all want Everton Football Club to be as good as they can be, we are all on the same side.
I personally feel Martinez lacks the tactical knowledge to break teams down, I don't believe he gets the best from the players he has at his disposal. I do credit him with assembling the players, the squad is better than it was for a while. I like his passing game but I would prefer to see a bit more directness at times.
That doesn't make me a "plotter" it is just an opinion.

Moyes didn't get this kind of criticism in 11 years. Crazy
Moyes copped a considerable amount of flak, particularly in his last two or three seasons. The critical differences IMHO are that Moyes had a weaker squad (although his first XI was often pretty strong) and he didn't have anything like the amount of money that has been made available to Martinez.

As others have pointe out however, this is not a Moyes v Martinez thread, no matter how much the cultists want to twist it that way.

Scoring goals has definitely not been a problem most of the season
