Petr, I was thinking along those lines until about a month ago but what has happened since then in terms of him losing the dressing room, the performances , and come on mate are you honestly still wanting him to stay a minute longer after last night, did you see his post match interview it was worthy of an Alan Partridge sketch.

I understand what you and every anti-Martinez fan are saying mate, I really do, but I'm buoyed by this cup run and would take the trophy over a poor league campaign any day. Look at West Ham, despite a great season in the Prem they prioritised the cup as a marker for a successful season. There's every chance that Liverpool will finish empty-handed and outside the top 6, yet Klopp is the messiah.

For as long as we remain in the Cup, Martinez has my backing, he really does.

I have messaged the club asking for him to go. Before Saturday if possible.

If a few thousand others do then it may happen.

Done it, too.
Then I noticed this gem:

"requesr"?
You'd think they'd proof read it...

We'll get the best of both worlds, Cup in the cabinet, Bobby in the Bin

He's turning lads. Embrace it, let it in, let the anger flow through you, it feels great. Join the fume side.

If he gets binned he can have no complaints should we go out of the cup on Saturday.

He needs to show he deserves to be given the new cash on offer.
Without a cup win, I'm unsure of how is going to be able do it.

That's all youre getting.

So you know what upset me most about last night. Folk on here saying their kids were crying saying they didn't want to support Everton anymore. My son is 7, supports Everton but isn't as obsessed as his old man with Everton and I sent him to bed at half time and told him not to worry about it. It would break my heart if he turned round though and said he didn't want to support Everton, that's what the level of performance done to some kids and I bet there were a few teenagers as well looking st their mums and dads last night thinking "you pair of horrible gits making me support these all those years ago".

As a fan all I've ever expected are effort, commitment, pride and togetherness - all things I like to think Everton helped me gain and offer in life as an adult.

Last night those players and management showed 0% of any of the above. We can take getting beat. I can't accept getting beat without any of the above on show.

Nights like last night can turn a generation of future supporters elsewhere. It's not just about us and the here and now it's about our kids and telling them we support Everton because they are the greatest club in the world, that it stands for something, that we will never be glory hunting all singing all dancing flag waving scruffy mutants like that shower of tits across the park. We were here first and we will be the last man standing.

Last night none of the players stood for anything, certainly not associated with Everton Football Club.

They physically make me feel sick when I think about then today. I wouldn't be able to shake any of those players hands and look them in the eye and say "fair play I still have respect for you". I've lost all remaining respect I had for them yesterday, the respect for Martinez was long gone.

Rant over, hurts being an Evertonian on days like today but we will take it on the chin. Its a lot harder for the kids and teenagers growing up to take though.

The idea that winning 2 games should be enough to save the job of a man who has been an abject failure at that job for 2 years would be laughable if the thought of it wasn't so apalling. People called those who saw this mess coming 'knee jerkers' and now they want to make a snap decision to keep the manager on the back of a couple of knock out games. The irony is not lost on me.

You've said it yourself West Ham prioritised the cup our ham played a full strength side for(in the big scheme of things) a meaningless league game just before our cup semi final, one is now banned, god knows how many are injured and I really can't believe that he has any more supporters out there in any way, shape or form.

I'm fully expecting us to get knocked out in the next round. Nevertheless, if we won both games it would be our first trophy in 21 years and he will be one of only a handful of Everton mangers to achieve it. We would have to give him at least until autumn.

Everyone is rightly fuming right now, but imagine the euphoria if we actually won the thing.
