Article in the Telegraph:

-Unsurprisingly, Liverpool had 37 shots to Everton's woeful tally of three. To put that into perspective, that is by a distance the biggest difference in attempts on goal between opponents that the Premier League has seen this season. The last time a game was this one-sided was when Manchester City beat West Brom 3-0 in March of last year with 43 shots to three.

In the last eight seasons, there have only been four instances of a team having more shots than Liverpool did last night, and each occasion it was City or Chelsea at home to a relegation candidate. On the evidence of this performance, Everton are little better than those battling the drop this season.-

For the love of god get rid of him so that everybody can get behind the team

Does anyone else see this as a slightly encouraging sign - the fact that there has been no backing the manager statement, in fact the silence is deafening! Could it be, and may be I'm just grasping at straws here, that the wheels are in motion already to get him out?
Far from clutching at straws, I think that's the most likely scenario.

As soon as the board say something, they are committed to that. Support for the manager now means he's definitely staying for a period. Saying he's leaving at the end of the season means they will be forced not to sack him should he lose this weekend.

Silence allows them to do whatever they want, whenever they feel it appropriate.

I also think the silence possibly speaks to a disagreement between members of the board. There is no club line on this.

I have messaged the club asking for him to go. Before Saturday if possible.

If a few thousand others do then it may happen.

The message will start to hit home I suspect if/when we get beat on Saturday at Wembley, I cannot see how in any way shape or form that the powers that be will need or want Martinez on the touchline for the Bournemouth game on the 30th - Goodison Park will be a horrible place that day if he is!

Wrong thread haha
Not really. I think Martinez is still here because Kenwright wants him to be here.

and how's this for refreshing honesty:
Ronny Deila: " I came in talking of improvement and good football. In last six months we haven't had that.

"That lack of improvements kills me inside. It's improvement that makes you want to be a coach and a teacher.

"When you haven't done what you said you were going to do, you have to deal with it.

"It's best for he club and me that new energy comes into the club in the summer."

That's what a real man with integrity and honesty talks like not like Martinez

Martinez would be spinning some rubbish about moments and emotion and how satisfying we get tonked by our nearest neighbours and that its all about the semi.

When we get tonked at the semi then its all about growing for next season and the cycle of bile that streams out of his mouth just continues

Get Big Dunc or Peter Reid till the end of the season and appoint a competent man in the summer why wait the season is a write off already and getting to a cup final is papering over the cracks

He's become an embarrassment to the club now after last night, which is why the club needs to do something to end him pronto.

Having spent most of the morning listening to Everton fan after Everton fan phoning into Talksport, all lambasting Martinez and the club, it's just horrible to listen too and is sullying the image of the club.

Sorry for stating the obvious but he has to go NOW! If we want any chance of winning on Saturday we need someone else ANYONE ELSE in charge. Big Dunc could just see things out until the end of the season. At least we'd see some passion from the team.

Are the board hoping he'll resign? Do they think it'll be too chaotic to sack him now?
