I'd give Kenny a go. He seems to be an almost like for like replacement and it'll show us whether he's good enough to be relied upon in the future. I don't want a square peg in a round hole tbh.

Aaron Lennon should be nowhere near this Everton team. He's crap. It has to be Holgate at right back or RWB he did well getting forward early in the season. The next two games his priority will be what he knows.

Holgate is a better passer than Coleman (imo), but he doesn't cause nearly the amount of havoc out wide. I see us struggling to stretch the pitch in the upcoming games. That was the beauty of Coleman- we didn't need to play a natural winger on the right. I could see us going with something like:

Lookman Davies/Barry Gana DCL/Mirallas
Barkley Lukaku

Obviously not for the derby but for the longer term the terrible injury to Seamus might be an opportunity for JJ Kenny to stake his claim.
Holgate has moved in front of him but I thought Kenny did well in the last game of last season.

In all honesty I have full confidence in Holgate or a back three (centre backs) with two wide men

Holgate will be the safest choice for the derby. I think Besic could work well there with a bit of practice though.

Holgate is the obvious choice and i've always liked the look of him when he's been there, pretty sure west brom away he was RB and looked great when getting forward just a worry that it may take away his development as a CB.

Can see Kenny being thrown in for some of the home games though, brilliant chance for the lad to grab a place in the squad and prove he is ready for this level, looked great when he last got a chance. Shame connolly is out on loan because i think he would have been right in contention.
