I think I may be getting confused here.
Am I getting two stories mixed up, or are the people of Tamworth complaining to their MP that the asylum seekers are taking up hotel beds that they want tourists to use, but are then trying to burn the hotel down, meaning that tourists can't use it?

And they also don't like people from outside their own 'community' so surely wouldn't want tourists to visit unless they are white, English and christain.

Well I think her whole approach there was a pigs ear. I think she's thrown in wanting the hotel back to appease the locals before focusing on something much more sensible.

I'd be amazed if the Tamworth locals would be happy to find asylum seekers are no longer on the hotel, but next door. Haters gon hate yo.

What exactly does "they want their hotel back" mean?

It isn't something community focused, it doesnt benefit the local community aside from housing people not from the area. It's a private business.
