I hope this doesn't sound sexist but it seems to me that the police do not look physically strong enough to deal with these situations and their percentage of women is far to high for a riot situation.
Think it's more down to numbers than women. Also there seems to be a deliberate hands off approach around the country to avoid scenes which will further stoke rioting.I hope this doesn't sound sexist but it seems to me that the police do not look physically strong enough to deal with these situations and their percentage of women is far to high for a riot situation.
A Bangladeshi Labour councillor resigned from the party because she found the comment singled out her community and was offensive, was she wrong to?

You're right on both counts: short on numbers and the softly-softly approach, first used in Southport, was because the cops didn't want to look aggressive.Think it's more down to numbers than women. Also there seems to be a deliberate hands off approach around the country to avoid scenes which will further stoke rioting.
……ask the rioters why they’re rioting and I reckon the vast majority would not know why. They’re not rioting for a ‘cause’, they are just rioting.
You see glimpses of the poor behaviour from last night annually, around November 5th.Absolutely standard behaviour for Liverpool unfortunately.
All this nans against nazis praise and claims of being different because it's a socialist paradise doesn't really explain why there seems to be a significant number of local people desperate for any type of social unrest just so they can take to the streets and self-justify causing carnage to their community at large.
If those scals on the street really wanted to be different they'd be protecting their community instead of thinking it's a laugh to shoot fireworks at police and rampage in the streets.
It's exactly like when the kopites have a parade. Same scum different day, Liverpool is absolutely rotten with these type of people. Same with every city.
Time to stop with the wouldn't happen in Liverpool nonsense.

I don't mean just the women ,I don't think the fellas look particularly intimidating either.Think it's more down to numbers than women. Also there seems to be a deliberate hands off approach around the country to avoid scenes which will further stoke rioting.
That's the publics job.
They removed the old height requirement, so the force is no longer exclusively big units.I don't mean just the women ,I don't think the fellas look particularly intimidating either.
In times gone by if you stood in front of a bizzie shouting in there face you would be soon nursing a lump on your head.
Certainly there is a hands off approach as everything is caught on camera.
You only have to see the footage at Manchester airport and the witch hunt to have the fella sacked when really he was just doing his job allbeit a tad over zealous.
I hope this doesn't sound sexist but it seems to me that the police do not look physically strong enough to deal with these situations and their percentage of women is far to high for a riot situation.
This is fueled by bots. Any subject on twitter is replied to by some fake account pushing a far right naritive.
The question is where is the ground zero for these bots. Who is funding them?
