I hope this doesn't sound sexist but it seems to me that the police do not look physically strong enough to deal with these situations and their percentage of women is far to high for a riot situation.

Think it's more down to numbers than women. Also there seems to be a deliberate hands off approach around the country to avoid scenes which will further stoke rioting.
I think he shouldn’t have singled Bangladesh out, should have just said “a safe country”. But was pretty obvious that the intent of the statement was benign.
You're right on both counts: short on numbers and the softly-softly approach, first used in Southport, was because the cops didn't want to look aggressive.
Cops go out of carriers unprepared and poorly led. Even yesterday, the two groups were allowed to merge so as not to antagonise by enforcing rules on the protests.
Yet you see last night, when more forceful tactics are finally implemented the groups soon disperse.

Always been an issue with any hard right influence...they're all led by someone so questionable with a checkered past and motives you can't take any argument seriously.

Let's have this right. What happened yesterday (and has the potential to keep happening) was and is an act of terrorism. I know some morons don't know what terrorism actually is and others think its something that only people with brown skin can do but they need educating preferably in the most brutal way possible. I'm normally not the type to advocate police brutality but with these scum I think its justified. A good kicking and a really harsh sentence is the only language these filth will understand.

Happened in Kirkby the other year when the EDL turned up at the Suites hotel...so all the scrot bags turned up and set fire to everything
I don't mean just the women ,I don't think the fellas look particularly intimidating either.
In times gone by if you stood in front of a bizzie shouting in there face you would be soon nursing a lump on your head.
Certainly there is a hands off approach as everything is caught on camera.
You only have to see the footage at Manchester airport and the witch hunt to have the fella sacked when really he was just doing his job allbeit a tad over zealous.
That's the publics job.
