But the people and thugs causing all this trouble on the streets were probably too young to have seen or even have heard of those shows. I think the elderly that did see those shows don’t give a damn about colour or race and just get on with life. Those you are seeing on TV or up in court tend to be aged between mid 20’s to early 50’s…I may be wrong of course…..

Some are comparing this action to 'North Korea,' but it's straightforward: just avoid making hateful comments, like saying you want brown people to die, and you'll be fine.
I know a 69 year old was convicted but it’s also about the environment that’s created , one of the main culprits of stirring up the trouble is a 60 year mp from clacton .
Personally I think it’s cross generational, I think farage and his fake bloke down the pub ingratiates him with his older crowd. SYL gets his modern footy lads and a line or rather the whoppers who’d love to be that . Tate gets the young men and grooms them on TikTok . There are so many more and they’re all dangerous .

“Of 147 individual cases analysed by BBC News, violent disorder was the most common charge, with 88 counts. There were 17 counts of assaulting an emergency worker and 14 of possession of a weapon.
At least 11 alleged offences were specifically listed as racially or religiously aggravated.
There were also eight people charged with offences involving social media or other online activity.
Of the 147 people charged, 139 were men. The average age of suspects was 31.
This analysis includes incidents in 31 cities or towns across the UK. Online offences were not assigned a location.”
If what they say is correct, then the vast majority never saw Love thy Neighbour nor Alf Garnet…….
No, they’ve been exposed to misinformation on social media.
The older population would have seen these programmes though and you can’t deny there’s an issue with their attitude towards people of a different origin.
Twitter began it's decay in 2016, that's when the (mostly russian) bot infestation began. Brexit/us elections made Twitter a space for propaganda and conspiracies. You could kinda hide from it all back then though, You could interact on many topics while staying relatively on-topic, the platform was assessable and a pretty good source for getting news as it happened.
The financial incentives introduced by Musk mean users now post nonsense purely for the sake of gaining interactions, with little to no consequences from the platform. Those same accounts then get pushed to the top of the algorithm and it's just a vicious cycle of grifters posting
for dough.

For the grifters like Tate, Fox, and the bots et al isn't more disinformation?
Think the media using misinformation is actually a way for it to exonerate Farage and the previous government of any guilt.
They ain't misguided more deliberately spreading false truths. To manipulate and deceive angry, ostracised, and down on their luck individuals. Sprinkle upbringing and austerity into the mix, It has lead to a breeding ground of hatred.

The vast majority of people of my age in Walton that I have conversed with have been disgusted by what went on. I would also say that the majority I saw causing trouble were teens out for giggles and opportunity.
