Keep waiting for them the usual England to turn up and instead we keep scoring off set pieces and going through.

They've surpassed expectations despite not really actually bossing anyone besides Panama off of the pitch. They can all be happy with what they've achieved but I still can't get used to us being past the quarter finals.
 
Great we have got through, so the following isn't a moan per ce.

But England are crap! We really are! Take pickford out that side and it wouldn't be cruising as it has been. Defensively it's wobbled, sterling has been awful, lingaard offered very little bar his goal and even ali a shadow of the spurs version. Even Southgate playing kane practically in midfield most of the time hasn't done much right apart from set pieces

I do wonder how badly this team would have struggled against the likes of France Uruguay Japan or first string Belgium.

England were well worth that 2 goals margin today. I expected them to scrape through. But they won comfortably. They could easily have scored 2 more. Yes Pickford made good saves at good times but I don't see how that's a criticism. It's a big box ticked if you're going to go far in a world cup.

England were by far the better team and won relatively comfortably. Good day at the office if you ask me.

But when they obviously played to lose the Belgium game and get the ‘easier’ route people still complained. We are now in the semifinals so anything is possible. If I was betting it would be on France/Belgium but I just think back to surprises like Denmark (1992) and Greece (2004) and dare to dream.
 
Played a load of awful teams to get to the semis, yet when we played two decent teams we were beaten (Belgium) and the other (Columbia) had their best player sat in the stands and still took us to penalties. Very very RS-esque this run, and we might yet even win it despite being nowhere near one of the best teams.
 
I read only 4-5K English fans were there today.

I am sure now with SF and it being in Moscow, there should be at least 10K English in the stadium.
 
I'd like to congratulate the weapons who smashed up an ambulance car in Borough after the game.
