Quantity Vs Quality?

This.

i have never heard that Moyesy had a bust up with someone, not even a rumour. Even when Shandy was here I was expecting some wrestling at training and when I thought that the case had gone way too far he managed it very well. Even there's a rumour that Vidic had a bust up with SAF of all people.

Pavlyuchenko blasted Harry Redknapp for making him sit on the subs bench. I have never heard such a case, not even close happening here. AJ had a problem that he wanted to start(that's very professional) and fighting for 1 place when 5 players are there is hard and respectfully went to Fulham. No problems again.

Moyesy is ace, hand off him

Didnt he and Vic have a barney last year and if rumours are to be beleived he and Dunc came to flinging haymakers at one point.

yeah but did Vic come out and criticise moyesy for not letting him go out for a loan? He didn't and very soon he had the oppurtunity to be the leading striker when the others were injured which he took really well.

As for the Dunc rumour..its just pathetic,i am never gonna believe that

So are you saying that because Moyes doesn't agree with you he should go because he is sentimental? All managers make decisions, its a part of the job if you are not happy with DM's efforts so far start a Moyes out thread and state your reasons, if his decisions don't pay off he loses his job, you don't. I certainly don't agree with everything he does but I don't see the players train, I'm not party to what his long term intentions are but he does make the 'tough decisions' on a daily basis and I doubt very much whether sentiment plays any part in them

no im saying that if osman and hibbert are holding the club back they should be sold.
you can't keep players just because they were brought through the system look at fergie and kev campbell both stayed a year too long

Well like most I think they are worthwhile squad members and I can't say that they are holding the club back. Neither player has a say in whether or not they stay or go unless they ask directly so the boss is happy with what he has got................he must be as they are both here.

Just remember mate we are not a rich club, we are according to most punters outside GP a well run business, we have to cut our cloth to fit, pipe dreams are merely that. Wish lists for players costing the earth will remain as such until we are sold or a more level playing field is established. Both those two are, and I would agree with you here, not bona fide first teamers but they are excellent squad players.............especially Hibbo

im not doubting they are good squad players but my point was sometimes sentiment gets in the way and players hang around too long
hibbo will never be a top class rb and we have 6 others that can play that position so he could be sold
as for osman i like him but there was talk of an 8mill hull bid during the summer don't know if there is any truth in that but if there was then moyes should snap their hand off

There are 19 teams in the top flight.
Can anyone say there are 10 right backs better than Hibbert, cause I'm struggling to be honest.

Bosingwa
Ivanovic
Sagna
Johnson
Neville (P)
Young?
Neill
Heitinga?
Pantsil
Zabaleta
Richards
Brown
Rafael?
Corluka

Are all arguably better than Hibbert.

I like him, but he's not good enough for where we want to go.

All opinions.
How many times have our other players played at right back for Everton? So what you're doing is presuming are you not? If they were better, why haven't they been played in that pposition more often by Moyes, himself a defender?

As a defender, Hibbert easily rivals any in that list m8, but being a good defender these days, isn't apparently enough to justify being a defender.

Can I also add that as none of you watch the other defenders in the league every week, then it's a case of 'is the grass greener' for 99% of you.
Hibbert has faults, but they all do. Is he the future? No. Is he doing a good job? Yes, and going forward isn't the be all and end all of defenders.
