Pure Rumour - Heitinga to Inter £10m

Would be crazy to sell him unless it was silly money, it we want to have a good season and challenge for Europe we need depth to our already small squad.

He put in some great performances last year and as mentioned above Distin is no spring chicken so unfortunately will be more prone to injuries. Johnny must stay.

If we sold Heitinga for less than £10m, we're an absolute joke.

He did not look happy on Monday.

I sit in fam enc, and he was warming up right near us.

gatheing the bloke just does not like not playing.

Good. The day a player is happy not to be playing is the day they need to call it a day.

Unless the Banks need the money, I can't see Moyes wanting to sell Heitinga. We have 3 top quality centre halves but Distin is getting on and Jags or Johnny could pick up an injury at any time. If we are to compete for a top 4 spot we need a decent squad that can be rotated. Moyes played jags ahead of johnny against United as he is a better last gasp defender. It payed off. But there will be games where we need a ball playing defender. Last season we had to play Hibbert at CB against city (who did very well but not a natural centre half). I cant see Moyes intentionally putting himself in this position again.

@Agent_EFC12 Just heard that Everton will sign someone at some point in time for money. They might sell someone too. #EFC

Currently we have 3 Top Class and 1 young prospect at CB, I think, as it stands, we are ok at CB.

Not if we sell Johnny, Duffy ain`t ready, it would be madness letting him go with out a replacement lined up.

Berra from Wolves?????

Had or still have Sheeds? i.e. since Rodwell's departure?

To be fair I can only talk in the past tense with confidence so 'had' but I do think we'd listen to offers at the 'right price' . I understand he's popular at the minute and i read people saying apparently he 'gets us' but if he doesn't give any indication of signing a new deal we'd be stupid to find ourselves on another pienaar situation . Will we sell him ? Who knows , but would we ? Yeah I think so

He's got 2 years left though at present, so there's no great rush this window.

If he's still not interested come Jan, then it'll maybe look slightly different.

Would be even crazier to replace Johnny with Berra, can't see any logoc in this unless we need money for the bank. But then if we needed to pay off the bank we wouldn't have signed Mirrallas.

Only way I can see Moyes would sell Johnny is if he said I want to go and a club put in a suitable bid 8-10m.

I'd probably agree with that but it's this window and the next that you have to look at moving players on otherwise unless they're top quality or in demand you end up shifting all to power , it's just business
