I would agree with the twitter bs, but its a rumour I keep hearing again and again, from all sorts of sources, we get any sort of "decent" offer for Johnny and hes off, can totally see it happening.
And when I say decent, I mean piss poor, anything less than 10m is taking the complete piss and I personally think we would sell for sub 10m.
Totally agree, but under this board any decent bid for a "squad" player will mean he will be sold and replaced by a cheaper alternative, if we had some money do you think we would have sold the likes of Rodwell,or Arteta? No they would have remained in the "squad". Unfortunately the mentality of a lot of younger blues is "if we get a decent bid sell sell sell"
In 1985 do you think we would have sold, Southall,Ratcliffe or Sharpy, if a decent bid came in?? I would pre fare to build a squad of 24 quality players, but i know is not possible under Kenwright.![]()

Nobody has to believe me but we've had agents looking in to sell him for months for the 'right price' & I Pretty confident that's less than £10m . We came very very close to off loading him to fenerbache for a lot less & it's not just me saying that.
I wouldn't be upset if he was sold depending on the price, but we're a little late in the game here to recruit two new centerbacks.
Why would we need 2?
Distin can't play forever.
He'll play Saturday at Villa. Distin looked right destroyed after the Man Utd match and can easily see Moyes rotating in and out depending on the opponent.
Distin played Saturday because of his pace and size - to keep Welbeck in check and to clear the box over Utd's midgets.
Villa don't have the same threats.
Not saying Heitinga is a lesser player by any stretch but if Moyes has all 3 fit and playing well, wouldn't surprise me to see some interchange even with some Distin at LB if Baines needs a blow.
