Pure Rumour - Heitinga to Inter £10m

We need a squad and Duffy isn't' good enough yet. We only have 3 senior CB and some said it is right to sell him. Madness.

I wonder how Heitinga feels being third choice centre back now? After impressing last season. Anyone think he would be a good right back?

Or would he be given more time as DM playing the Gibson role when Gibson needs a rest?

I mean between Gibson, Jags and Distin he's sure to see plenty of time when they pick up knocks or need a rest.

i dont think Heitinga is going anywhere. i think he "gets it" being a Everton player. he might not be happy being 3rd choice but he knows he will get his chance and a run in the team. IMO

More likely to replace Neville then Gibson in that midfield you'd imagine. A Neville-Heitinga midfield partnership has been tried a few times and it's horrifyingly uncreative.

Actuallly that's a good point. If he's not playing CB and Moyes is adamant about having a defensive type alongside Gibson, then I'd really rather see Heitinga there.

At least when John has the ball you don't sh*t bricks and he's a bit more mobile than a wounded slug.

Can someone tell me where the Echo are actually reporting Tottenham's interest? Because as far as I'm aware, it's just the Rumour Mill - a ****e, pointless page that take their rumours off here, Talksport and Twitter.

2 + 2 = twatter bull****.

Dawson to QPR = Johnny to Spuds, dear oh dear, Dawson was going to 5th choice CB at Spurs this season, due to his lack of pace & AVB's liking of playing a high defensive line. They're not even in the market for a replacement imo.

I would agree with the twitter bs, but its a rumour I keep hearing again and again, from all sorts of sources, we get any sort of "decent" offer for Johnny and hes off, can totally see it happening.

And when I say decent, I mean piss poor, anything less than 10m is taking the complete piss and I personally think we would sell for sub 10m.

Totally agree, but under this board any decent bid for a "squad" player will mean he will be sold and replaced by a cheaper alternative, if we had some money do you think we would have sold the likes of Rodwell,or Arteta? No they would have remained in the "squad". Unfortunately the mentality of a lot of younger blues is "if we get a decent bid sell sell sell"
In 1985 do you think we would have sold, Southall,Ratcliffe or Sharpy, if a decent bid came in??
I would pre fare to build a squad of 24 quality players, but i know is not possible under Kenwright.:(

I think before city moved for Rodwell that was probably the case, but not sure the same still applies (ableit he's on mega bucks).

He'll only go if Moyes has cover lined up imo & now there's no urgency on our behalf, unless we get a very strong bid, I can't see him leaving this window now.
