"Punching above their weight..."

 and here was me who was going to give a angry reply about the press....

But then I remembered that I couldn't give a flying feck what them idiots say, good or bad. We get on with our own thing, if they think where punching above our weight, let them. It's never affected us what has been said about us before, and it certainly doesn't now.

With Cahill, Osman, Arteta, Pienaar, Neville, Baines, Jagielka (who is small for a centre half), we clearly have one of the lightest squads in the league. So Motty is right. You guys need to get your facts straight before you start questioning quality experienced journalists.

I know what your saying mate it drives me mad when people say Everton are punching above their weight . I just want to sit them down and explain to them how wrong they are . It does seem that in certain quarters of the media there is a distinct reluctance to give us the rightful credit we wholeheartedly deserve . Their is an army of Everton doubters within the British media world . But the worst detractor for me has to be Martin Samuel . Ive lost count of the times that ive read the utter s***e he has the cheek to right about us and completely lost it on my dinner hour . He always tries to paint a picture of us being bitter and twisted towards our far more successful and marketable neighbours . We live in a democracy and as much as it winds me up at times its worth putting up with kn*bheads like him just to get the chance next week to ram those words down his fat throat .

Oh, thaaaaaaat's what he meant!

We just have to ignore what they say, there's very few of them that write truth, they just write stuff that will please the majority of the woodentops that read the rubbish they write.
In the end it's just their opinion anyway - it's not like someone actually weighs all the teams in at the start of the season is it ?:D
Let's face it, if they did, with the Yak out of the team, we'd be in the featherweight bracket!

Having said all that, I read a nice article about Inchy yesterday, all about how he's going to be gathering all his Blue exiled mates to watch the Final at his place. Top man and another one who could easily fit into today's team, size wise at least!

Tony Gayle was at it to on football first "match between the two biggest over-acheivers"! Ggggggrrrrrrr!

Ban them all Davey.

Its Patronising to say the least. John Mostson should know better, he narrated our History VHS years ago, and were clearly the biggest threat to the top 4 these days, skint or not.

What's the problem with this? Other clubs spend much more on players, so the statement is very much spot on. Would "underachievers" be better?
