The Sun reports PSV recruitment chief Marcel Brands has snubbed Everton, who are reportedly looking to replace Steve Walsh at Goodison Park.

The newspaper states PSV have had no contact with Everton to discuss a transfer, while Brands himself has given them no indication he wants to leave.

Seeing as they're known for publishing lies, this is all but a done deal, good news.

Got to be better than Walsh though.

It's possible that Dutch football is suffering due to mistakes made years ago before the current generation of coaches and the like came into their roles. It's arguable that the Netherlands has relied too much on it's own version of the Old Boys Network where reputations, big names and acolytes of Total Football and Cruyff have had too much say in technical direction regardless of the game moving on.

The current crop of England youth players winning tournaments left, right and centre aren't doing so because the FA and clubs suddenly got it right last season or the year before. It's a long process which takes years to reap results.
