So for all those players that'd played say at least 25 matches - who would have the highest average ratings from the watching fans/journalists. For me its:

5. Beardsley
6. Kanchelskis
7. Stones
8. Southall
9. Stevens
10. Cahill


Its not easy....

I wouldn't have Lineker in nets for a start.

As a younger fan, Cahill is by far and away the clear winner
