He's an actual footballer with touch and guile and can make a decision without taking ten minutes to think about it which puts him ahead of almost everyone in the squad. Seriously our squad is torrid and full of cowardly spineless pretenders and yet we're turning our nose up at a proven winner who has the exact sort of qualities we are lacking.

Mixed feelings on it , but once he smashes his first goal or makes that first crushing tackle or walks off after man of the Mach performance and turns around and applaudeds the four sides of the ground I think a lot of people will forget the past .. but the money side has to be right for us and not about making money , will he make us better ... ??

Definitly a no from me.Half the people on here probably werent born when he left us in fact he couldnt wait to get away.If he isnt good enough for a really average Man Utd why in these times of a supposedly club with financial clout,is he good enough for us Cant see were the Valencia comparison comes from,we should be looking for much better players. This reaks of Gascoigne and Ginola deals.Surely we have progressed as.a.club.Its a very big world out there and there are great players to be found without taking the lazy arsed option. He had his time here, did really well when he left but we've both moved on.For me let him enjoy the delights that China bring

Brill.

He's an experienced match winner who wants to play for us and will someone who will not crap himself on the big occasions. I see no risk as he will be motivated for the first time in years and should he fail.... the loss of face will see him walk very quickly. I also think his return will generate enough income to offset a chunk of his cost. My only concern is that he is not spun as our top signing by Billy Liar n Co, the cheque book needs to be out all summer as we need at least 3/4 first team players (not reserves).
