Pochettino appointed spurs boss.

In one of the papers today, he will have a warchest of 30 mill plus whatever comes in from player sales to rebuild Spurs into a stylish football team. What a laugh, so the new manager is expected to work miracles with "pennies" typical Levy does not like to part with money. Spurs biggest problem is a lack of real ambition.

I would hardly describe £30mn plus say £20mn from player sales as 'pennies'. Its not like we need massive rebuilding.

He would be a better bet than Koeman.

I disagree. Koeman is a better tactician than Moyes and his philosophy isn't too dissimilar to that of Pochettino. No major overhaul in tactical discipline would be expected from Koeman, that's for sure. Moyes on the other hand would be a dramatic culture shock down there. Southampton fans have gotten used to good football, it'd be criminal of them to employ a dinosaur like Moyes.

Then there's the average age of Feyenoord's squad that Koeman got into the Champions League with this season. He's worked wonders with the likes of de Vrij, Martins Indi, Clasie, Boetius, Vilhena and even Kongolo. In fact, Southampton and Feyenoord's academy structures aren't too dissimilar from each other. Koeman would thrive in that sort of environment. The same can't be said for Moyes. Can you honestly say that he embraced our academy while he was with us?

Thomas Tuchel is the man Saints should be going for. He fits the profile perfectly. Surely Liebherr can woo him with the German connection. He's a free agent FFS. It's a no-brainer.

Total myth.

I agree in part but
Current :
1.Stones
2.Barkley
3.Coleman

Even go back as far as players like Osman, Hibbert, Rooney, Rodwell, Dunne, thats 8 players brought through from a very young age at the club & gone on to do relatively well, all performed in the Premier League for a decent amount of time. there is an exception to this rule in Rodwell, but we got £15m for him?

Stones never played under Moyes, and Barkley was not nearly a starter for him unless beset by injury.

He had an eye for young talent, yes, but didn't seem to be the best at nurturing it. I think he got worse with this as he aged and he became more conservative. He may revert to giving youth a chance now that he no longer has his eye on the United job, but I wonder if that conservatism is now completely ingrained into him.

He gave Januzaj a go though, which is a credit to him, but I feel like his record with the youth at Goodison is less than stellar.

Moyes identified Stones, Barkely as first teamers & as for the rest i agree i am the first to acknowledge fault, but its more a hyperbole Moyes never favoured youth

Thats Holland, though - when he went to Valencia he almost managed (indeed he probably would have managed if he hadnt been sacked) to relegate them.
