Vinny Samways - Over the moon when we signed him, don't need to say much more.

Kevin Kilbane - Annoyed at this signing, but he done a lot better than I expected.

John Oster - The new Ryan Giggs ? What a let down.

Nicholas Alexanderson - exciting prospect, but another waste of space.

Kevin Campbell a thought he was terrible could not understand why we had got him in on loan how wrong was I his goals kept us up that year

Yeah Kevin Campbell was my finest moment, every blue I knew seemed disgusted with this signing. Not sure why just had a funny feeling he was right man, right time. said so while a red was in the room. ended up in a spread bet that meant I would get a fiver every goal over something like 3 or 4 he scored. actually had to take pity on him as the goals looked like they wouldn't stop.

Big Dunc - wasn't enthralled at all when he arrived but he changed my mind very quickly!
From other teams, I remember when V Nistelrooy went to Man Utd and I said he was rubbish and wouldn't score many because the Dutch league was so weak compared to the mighty premier league - how wrong was I?!! haha

painful to admit I thought the Ferguson loan deal was desperation, a mate from Glasgow told me he would not be even vaguely worth the trouble, hardly noticed him impressing I was so convinced Ian Durrant would be the player we should be looking to try take on permanent deal. The derby goal changed everything

John Collins, I was so excited when we signed him. ****e

.

Collins looked like a perfect fit...but with him, Samways and that lad Hughes from Arsenal, I thought there was some kind of curse that meant small, skilful mids were doomed here. Thank [Poor language removed] for Arteta

Royston Drenthe.

Thought he was going to be the last minute signing of the century, Robben part II.
Hmmm...
Ohhhh this. It could have been so good.
Instead it turned out like a night with prostitutes and cocaine, tantalisingly brilliant, weird and frightening, leaving us with a sore head and a sizeable wage bill and utter self loathing.
An incredibly frail analogy I'm sure Dr Enthe could appreciate.

Better than I thought: Coleman, Kevin Campbell, Gibson, Parkinson, Pienaar (first time), Graveson, Carsley, Carl Tyler, Weir, Stubbs, Earl Barrett, Hutchinson

Let downs: Bilic, Collins, Amo, Richard Wright, Madar, Radzinski, Simonsen, Barmby, Stephen Hughes

As gash as I thought they would be: Mitch Ward, Tony Thomas, John O Kane, JOhn Oster, Gareth Farrelly, Ginola, John Spencer, Mark Hughes, Brett Angell.....

Manuel Fernandes' second coming... Well it was a bit meh. First time round he is still one of the best players I have seen for us.

followed this analogy through with the knowledge that despite it all I wanted to keep him. prob shouldn't show my face in public for awhile
