Alex Nyarko was the new Patrick Vieira according to Olivier Dacourt, good grief that was a set of bad calls.
Tobias Linderoth was a combative central midfielder with bags of international and champions league experience - he was a trier - of patience.
Nicklas Alexandersson had looked a decent player on the wing at Wednesday, he turned up and never put a single shift in. And we all collectively feel hard done to by AVDM, at least Meyde turned up with enough baggage to sink a battleship - Alexandersson was just abject.
Was a bit gutted at the time but Abel Xavier to them lot turned out a good bit of business in the end, his performances became even more erratic.
Initially thought Martyn was too old and had been let go for a reason, but turned up for us for a measly £250k and was arguably the best signing Moyes made.
Richard Wright - looked the business at Ipswich, went to the footballing graveyard for keepers that is Wengers stable then turned up for us at near enough £6million. Arguably the worst signing Moyes made.

Underrated quite a few players before Moyes bought them, Jagielka was one. But Gibson is one that's really surprised me, i thought he was utter turd when at Man U.

Gibson is no better or worse than he was at man u, just different expectation levels. At Goodison, a 40 yard ball that sails over somebodies head and out of touch will usually get a ripple of applause, at Old Trafford you'll get caned for them 9 times out of 10.

Other part is the amount of the ball he actually has and the positions he has the ball in. As somebody mentioned in a previous thread (can't recall which one), we tend to play long then keep possession in the opposition half. At United he was expected to drop in and receive the ball of the centre halves. This is something he wasn't great at and still isn't and, as Martinez moulds the team into his own I expect Gibbo will get found out in this respect.

He wishes, he hasnt been fit enough for either side to allow himself to be tested as Mr dependable.
Goodison seems to have an infatuation with Lee Carsley. Loved his no nonsense, a little bit to be desired when it came to actually playing the game instead of the attacking midfielders.

Dennis Stracqularsi. At first I thought he was just laughable... by the end I f**king loved him. That game against City, have you ever seen a player work so hard? Would have dearly loved to keep him.

We paid 3.5m for Wright.

Just sayin.

Have many pounds have you ever lost mate? Put me down for zero.

I had tonsilitis for 3 weeks once, I lost around a stone and this was back in the day, when I didnt have a spare stone to lose.

Its quite funny really, we used to go away to Pwhelli(sp) every year and have a family picture taken, the first 1 im quite slim, looking young and youthful, the last 1, I like look a 50 year old Mr Blobby.
