Players out on loan 2025/26

Trying to work out the logic here unless Pickford is going out?
I put this in the youth team thread but my feeling is it will be Pickford into the 1st team to replace Tyrer (I'm assuming that he really isn't signing a new contract here, big assumption I know). Doug up to 21s, Seve as the 18s #1 and Goodie will be cover for both squads.

Does Pickford need to not be in U21 games though to be 3rd choice on matchdays for 1st team?

Actually wait, Pickford won't go 1st team, we have Travers and King don't we, never really use 4 in training do we?
We've had 4 for a few seasons now. 4th goalie was Crellin then Leban and then Tyrer. Essentially the goalies with 1 year left on their deal.

My theory is that Pickford signing a pre-contract at another club is the trigger for all this shuffle to happen.

Straight into the starting line up for Will Tamen for Tranmere. A full 90 minutes but they lost 3-1 at home to Walsall. Tranmere are 17th.

Francis Okoronkwo started and went off after 54 minutes with the game scoreless for Doncaster away to Wimbledon. Doncaster snatched a late winner but are still 22nd.

Isaac Heath played the full match but Accrington lost 2-0 at home to Milton Keynes. Accrington are 16th.

George Finney started and played the whole game in the Scottish Cup as Ayr were knocked out losing 2-0 to Dundee United.

I watched the Dundee Utds v Ayr tv highlights, not much seen of Finney, it looked like their winger was giving him a hard time in the first half , he’s a tall player and he’s asked to cover the post at corners . He was committed high up for their second goal as Ayr chased an equaliser. Utd are a decent SPL team so good cup experience for him , he seems to have got a reasonable score from the fans.

If he’s signing a pre contract then it probably makes more sense to wish him well now rather than wasting his career for 6 months. I say that, given he’s a kid looking to make it, not a mercenary chasing a bosman
