Wild celebrations at the Coubertin as AS Cannes have just clinched the title and return to Ligue 3 after 15 years' absence. Fans currently singing along to Bonnie Tyler and and Queen.

They needed a win at home to Lusitanos to be certain as rivals Nîmes were winning easily. Cannes went ahead shortly after the restart and as usual George Morgan was brought on midway through the half to protect the ball and help see out the win. Cannes doubled their advantage with 10 minutes left and ran out 2-0 winners. Morgan won several challenges and was a real handful for the opposition defence.

A great loan spell for him. He only started twice, but was given significant minutes off the bench every week and scored 2 goals. Probably, he is not a clinical enough goal scorer to make it at Premier League level but could have a good career in the Championship. He's only 19 though, so he has time to develop.

Elsewhere, Roman Dixon is off to Wembley for the play off final but didn't get off the bench in the 2nd leg earlier in the week. Jack Patterson was also stuck on the bench for Lodz midweek.View attachment 353654
