Pienaar would seal more of the same but 2 more would take us to the next level

It's just a massive shame that were a couple of decent players away from troubling the top four but we'll continually miss the boat as we don't have the funds. That's what will define these last five years or so.

Everything will be about our start, if we get off to a good start then we'll do well. Not top four well but well enough. I reckon Naimsmith will surprise one or two of us as well. We've got a goalscorer now and that's the key. We will gain points we were missing prior by not making our dominance in some games count.

Seventh place it is.

Unfortunatly mate it's not just about the players we have. They have to go out on the pitch with the right mindset and tactics. This is were I think we will always fail. Until there is no pressure of course.

maybe all right but playing him after he saying he wants to go wudnt be great for teammates and fans think they prob try sell him during summer but not to a premier team if they can help it!

Arsenal have already had a ton of offers, they're holding out for £20m+ for him. They don't need to sell him and Van Persie probably knows it.

Personally i don't understand what the f*** he is moaning about. He says he doesn't want to move for the money and his decision is based on other reasons. Well those reasons can't be transfers because Arsenal may have spent more than £50m at the end of this transfer window.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of having a striker this year mate. There's the plan anyway! I'll be fuming by October like.

We need a right winger, a really good one.

It's frightening how we've bought about a billion strikers, 30 defenders and insisted on playing creative centre mids out wide to put a plaster over the glaring f*cking fact that we've needed a good right sided player since 1997.

I miss NIK too.

This, but also I wish we had a decent creative centre mid that could play as a centre mid. As much as we've got a load of central midfielders (fellaini, gibson, osman, barkley, rodwell, neville(?)) we haven't got a replacement for arteta in the form of a creative, ball-playing central midfielder.

Arteta hasnt' been missed, not the Arteta post-injury anyway. We have missed hte Arteta that ran at players, got everywhere on the pitch, rather than sitting deep.

I've been saying for ages, we have a starting 11 that can challenge for 5/6th place, but not a squad that can.

If we can get Donovan (permanently) and loan a decent 2nd choice striker this window, without loosing anybody else than Mucha and Anichibie, then I think we've got a starting 11 and bench of a top 7 team.

IF a big name is sold, probably Heitinga, then we should use the money to fund a move for a Holtby type attacking midfielder - ideally Holtby himself, along with a replacement on loan such as Albiol (from Madrid - maybe a bit out of reach I know, but somebody of a similar standard to Heitinga, or the lad who plays for Montpellier, though hed likely cost a fair wedge).

Either way, we'll have options. Can't see us not selling Heitinga if we are going to get any more decent names in, and as long as we got a good enough replacement for Johnny plus creative players, then we'd look good.
