There would be too much competition for Johnson, the likes of Liverpool and Spurs would be in for him, and we couldnt compete with wages anyway, so this is deffo in the no chance for us.

True, but we could pretty much guarentee him 1st team football for the season, just like I'm sure Drenthe would have had if he wasn't a nutjob. You would have thought he would be used in a rotation with other players at the RS and Spurs, I suppose it depends if Johnson himself wants money or 1st team football for a season.

That's if we're actually interested in getting him here FFS.

who do liverpool have that would keep him out of the side, downing's the only winger they have right now if i'm not mistaken. they only way he won't be playing for them is if he'd be rested

Would Man City loan him out to Liverpool or Tottenham though. From things i've heard previously they don't see us as any sort of competition to them and would let us have him if they were gonig to loan him out - not sure if it'd be the same with Liverpool or Tottenham or not
