Pienaar Rejects new deal

He'll get a new deal quickly. The last thing Everton needs is defections. He knows he played well at the end of the season and starred during the Confederations Cup. With all of the Lescott business, Pienaar knows this is his time to make demands for a better contract - smart lad. Nothing more than the business end of football being played out.

“It is seldom that both parties come to an agreement at the first attempt,” Pienaar says. “Coming to such an important agreement takes time. We have only just started discussions and we will keep on talking until hopefully we get a deal that is right for both parties.

“The fact that it is taking time does not mean I am unhappy at Everton, but this next contract for me is obviously very important at this stage of my career. I would like to play Champions League football again and hopefully that will be with Everton.”

I hope he includes, "Club to sign a player" in his contract.

In other words, sign some goodf players, boost the squad for a push into Champions League. If not, I'll go to Spain next season.

Balls in the clubs court.

It's getting a little worrying.

Say we don't sign anyone. Every player we've gone after so far has either skirted for a move to a bigger club, or gone somewhere else. Say we go through next season with roughly the same squad we have now, and City and Tottenham finish above us in the table. Next summer, with Arteta fit, City have a go for him. Sick of Everton stagnant, he goes to play Champions League football and get in the Spain squad.

Seeing this, and thinking it a lack of ambition, Steven Pienaar, Joleon Lescott et al. demand transfers.

Moyes, sick of not being backed by his board, is offered to replace Alex Ferguson at United and takes the job.

Kirkby deal falls through.

Goodison Park falls down.

Bill Kenwright finds the Philosopher's stone, gains the power of Immortality and declares that he will never leave Everton.

A nuclear bomb is detonated in Liverpool City Centre.

Now some may say this is a bit doom and gloom, a bit defeatist and loosely based on reality, but after this summer? I just don't know anymore...

My heart sank when I read the headline as I personally believe he is one of our best players . The timing of this couldnt have come at a worse time . The Lescott / City drama has undoubtedly been the catalyst for the fresh snubbing of the said contract . He is either very smart or very stupid I wont be sure which until it plays out alittle longer and I get a feel for who is being sly either the club or Pienaar himself .

For the moment ill give him the benefit of the doubt because if there is one thing I know for sure its that the people behind the scenes at Everton who REALLY control things are as tight as a submarine door .

"I would like to play Champions League football again and hopefully that will be with Everton.”

On the back of Arteta having a dig at the lack of ambition/our transfer activity.

Worrying.

Whats Arteta said ?

These fcukers want to try being a supporter . Being a player would be piss easy by comparrasion .

Arteta:

“We have to strengthen the team and at the moment we haven’t done it,” he said.

“Jo’s a big name, but it’s not like a new signing because he was here before with us.

“David Moyes is really good at picking up bargains and he knows how to get 100% out of those players in training and in the games.

“But that doesn’t mean a club like us should not have ambition to fight and try to get the top players because if he’s able to do that with good players, give him a chance with big, big names and we will see what we are able to do.

“We are in the Europa League again, and when you have that experience, like last season, we need to be ready for that.

“We can’t wait again until transfer deadline day. But at the same time the market is quite complicated at the moment because you have some very powerful teams buying top players at the moment.

“So we need to be calm and patient at the moment.”

To be fair to Arteta he is just saying outloud what everyone thinks anyway . Its Moyes I feel sorry for in the midst of all this . How he must feel at times like this god only knows . I know he is paid well by the club but it must be a heavy couple of months for him on top of getting the players motivated and in prime condition ready to hit the ground running like a fcuking freight train . So with that in mind can someone kindly tell the players to shut the fcuk up .

Maybe Moyes agrees with the players. Im sure he does. Its an overall dig at the board. Its nice to know the players care enough to be honest.

Good on them, are you listening Boardroom?

Davey boy was a pioneer, he saw it all before us all, years before his time that lerd.

I pisses me off no end.

But this transfer window has been weird for every team. My Kopite mate is worried they aint bought anyone but Glen Johnno, a Manure supporting mate is hating the fact they aint signed any big names...

Arsenal fans must be shitting it.
Chelsea are skint IMO.
Spurs are just usual nob heads.

And everyone else in the league hasnt really gone all out...Apart from Citeh.

Its very strange.

Posted via Mobile Device Would it be too much to ask for players to conduct their employment contracts in private like most other people? See them people paying 30 quid to watch you Ste, they're called fans and lots of them are struggling to make ends meet at the minute.
