Once again, a load of worry about nothing. Good 11 pages worth though. Nice one.

Haha took the words right out of my thoughts. Just spent most of my day reading this thread, and I sort of wish I hadn't...it's REALLY depressing.

Just like to say I hope Pienaar stays (99% sure he will) and that in my opinion, yes, he deserves to be negotiating on his contrat.

He's extending his contract is he?

With only 2 years left on his contract he wants a new one and it's not that strange really. Most other players we've resigned have had 2 years left on theirs. Hope they agree on a contract for more than 3 years this time though, otherwise we might see this renegotiation each summer. Give him a 4-5 year contract. It would show the rest of the team and potential targets that we still plan for the future and that our current squad still think we are progressing, otherwise they'd be out of here.

Posted via Mobile Device Would it be too much to ask for players to conduct their employment contracts in private like most other people? See them people paying 30 quid to watch you Ste, they're called fans and lots of them are struggling to make ends meet at the minute.

Defo mate, some have embarassed themselves on here as usual getting carried away by media speculation.

You know who you are.

I like Pienaar and all, but he only agreed terms this time last year. He was sublime when Arteta got injured but up untill that some of his play was shakey at best. Has he earned new terms, hmm.

Anyway good to put it to bed.

No, he hasn't. I think it all depends on how we do this season, alot of our big players will be looking at the ambition of the club.

I think he's going to be massive for us this season though, he seems to be really stamping his authority on games now. He was good in his first season, he seems to be getting better and better now.
