Pienaar Rejects new deal

Steven Pienaar belongs to one of those Mormon type organisations that turn pretty much every Saffa into a little crackpot. They get brainwashed into giving 20% of everything they earn to the church and then constantly pressurised by the group to improve on the amount they donate.
I don't want Everton's money lining the pockets of some astute conmen thousands of miles away on the grounds Steven Pienaar want's to buy his way into heaven.
If you ask me we should sell the ungrateful little c**t to the highest bidder. We rescued his career and now he's put in a couple of good performances for the Bafana he's trying to milk us for all we haven't got.
I'd well take £10m for him now if someone put it on the table.

:lol::lol::lol:

Hat's off mate. That is a superb rant.

tbh after arteta got injured he really looked the part as the creative force. his one man show at sunderland was immense.

Agree. He was very impressive towards the end, but I said

Very impressive first season - the most of last year though, he was just a fashionable James McFadden.

Look at threads on here from around January and Feb and you'll see a lot of fans lamenting his distribution - including myself. Particularly around the time he cost us a win against Arsenal in the last minute with his 'pass'.

I do think he is a good player - capable of being a very good player. But for 3/4 of last season, he was poor. Maybe because of injury, maybe because of no pre-season - maybe because he relies on Baines....

I think you just cracked it there, Danny. He's in a solid position when it comes to negotiating: we're a joke down that right flank and if he thinks about moving we're ****ed down the left.

Can't say I agree with that to be honest

You dont agree that he looked a shadow of his first season?

he had a tough first half of the season

Translation: he had a poor first 3/4 of the season

but improved alot when Arteta moved centrally and when Arteta got injured.

For me, he improved when Baines offered him a continuous outlet.

And he was definitely our most creative player last season - the majority coming from open play.

Sorry, creativity wise he isn't a patch of Arteta.

fair enough.

i thought hibbert was slated for that last minute arsenal goal for being way out of position bombing up the line in the last minute. to be fair to pienaar he finished the season really strongly so deserves to try his hand at the negotiating table.

Why does he create more goals than Arteta then?

Would have said it was definitely Pienaar. If he had ran with the ball or even just hoofed it, game over and 3 vital points that could have gave us a real push for 4th at the time. Pienaar tried a silly pass to Anichebe, Arsenal gained possession and scored. Typically, some tried to associate any blame on Hibbert but in truth, Van Persies goal was just a belter. Just done a quick search;

Well hopefully that's Pienaar's annual 90th minute moment of ******* madness out of the way for this season.

What a moronic decision to play that kind of ball. Credit to Van Persie though, what a ******* finish
I agree that Anichebe is lazy but Usain Bolt wouldn't have caught that ball Pienaar played mate.
then gives the ball away in the 92nd minute of the game when he had noone near him and no need to try and play a ridiculous pass. Absolute c**t of a bad decision. he holds onto the ball, we win the game. simple as that. so he tries a 30 yard ball
a) Pienaar played ok, but his ridiculous decision to play that pass in the 92nd min of the game instead of seeing the game out led to the goal.
In my opinion there were 3 reasons why we handed them a point :

1. Pienaar ridiculous ball to Anichebe
2. Jagielka getting caught out of position - the guy has been amazing for us but its criminal not be goal-side in the 93rd minute
3. Howard going to ground too quickly and the ball flying inches above his head

What? So now we are picking holes in players?? Phil Jagielka, Aston Villa.

The fact is, without Pienaar and Arteta, I doubt we would score any goals at all.

ok GOT, you are still smarting about his pass. fair does, it was a really important game at the time.

but you can't disregard his ability and influence on the team over one poor moment of decision making.

No mate, it was just an example to exemplify his suspect passing. The Chelsea 0-0 at Goodison was another example. He had a nightmare passing that game.

"Look at threads on here from around January and Feb and you'll see a lot of fans lamenting his distribution - including myself. Particularly around the time he cost us a win against Arsenal in the last minute with his 'pass'."
Thats why the Arsenal point was made - to give you a timeframe to search opinions - after it his distribution was more scrutinised.

Anyway, back to the thread of Pienaar rejecting a new contract. (y)

without pienaar at the back of the season i highly doubt we would have finished 5th.

he is not just an extra body. he improves the team when he plays.

i for one hope he re signs a good 5 year deal on parity with other star players.

We wouldn't have done.
