Pickford, always remember howard constantly being caught out from range.

Not at the time but in retrospect Howard's star jumps did have a comedy value. Pickford's dive for a none existent shot the other night,only to be hit on the head by the shot that did come in was right up there though.

There’s something about Pickford that I’m not keen on but I can’t figure out quite what it is. He’s too small and does too much theatrical diving IMO. I get the impression he maybe needs glasses coz he seems to do ‘just for tv’ dives for everything, it doesn’t really inspire confidence. I have a horrible feeling he’s just a bit over rated and will he found out in time. Hope I’m wrong though!

Howard at his peak was a great keeper maybe not a real top tier goalie but still very good. You could argue that Pickford has greater potential but if the choice is between Pickford now and Howard at his best then Howard gets the nod from me.

The best we saw of Howard was better than the best we’ve seen from Pickford. So Howard it is.

Howard at his best and Pickford now would be pretty similar levels in my eyes. Obviously Howard declined very badly towards the end, and Pickford could improve and surpass him, but I've seen nothing from Pickford in an Everton shirt that says he's noticeably better than Howard was.
