Phil Neville.....

As somebody mentioned earlier, it must be embarassing to have somebody with a complete lack of ability like Phil Neville trying to buoy a team or tell you to improve your performance.

If a move doesn't break down with him it certainly slows down with him, no wonder we haven't got any players who can take a game by the scruff of the neck when it's captain has the footballing ability of a nice Camembert.

I reckon Neville will be a boss manager. I hope it's not with us as his first job. The dynamic of going from player to manager with lads you played with doesn't work IMO.

When you hear Neville talk about the game his attitude is more akin to Ferguson than Moyes.

I agree, he's got all the attributes. He's a bright bloke as well, so he'll have retained plenty over the years I'm sure.

He'd have to 'cut his teeth' as a manager in the lower leagues though.

I think the ones that go into it for a love of the game know thats the way to go. The ones who just want to stay on the bank managers good side fear dropping down IMO as you can easily disappear off the radar.

The ferguson interview the other week, he basically said its a bad idea for players to walk straight in to a top job.

I love Phil Neville. We're better when he's in the team and that's a fact.

Who else organizes? Tim Howard has his moments of madness but you don't see him scream at his defense. Jagielka doesn't point the finger, Distin is like a friendly giant on the pitch for the size of him and Baines isn't captain material either if I'm honest. Not to me anyway...

Ok so aside from 'organising' what does he do well?

Like the women who write to murderers on death row love?

He was utterly terrible at the weekend.

He was truly awful on Saturday & looked every inch the 36 year old that he is. It was a performance that reminded me of his brothers last few outings, when it was obvious his legs had gone to everyone present, including himself. I hope Phil is honest enough to accept that he's done.
