One of the best matches I've been to was the fa cup game at Sunderland last year and everyone was stood up for the whole game. As people have said there should be the choice of a stand that you are allowed to stand in.
Oh wow we lost some tickets, doesn't matter if we take 8,000 if we sit in silence it's pointless.
I love standing at aways, always better when we do!
As long as there's at least 5 of us it's sound I don't care WE'LL STAND AND SIIINNGGG BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE BRRIIINNNGGGG. WE DON'T GIVE A [Poor language removed] IF WE CAUSE OTHER FANS TO NOT BE ABLE TO GO THE MATCH BECAUSE WE LOVE TO STAND AND SING OUR LOVELY SONGS.
NAR NAR NAAAARRRR NAR NAR NARR NAAAAAARRRRR
NNAAAAAARRRRRRR.
Stoke away this season there was some bad tits who stood up for most of the first half, and didn't sing a word. Standing up for no reason other than because 'thats what you do, innit lar'.

I would be pissed off if a club told me to sit down whilst I was creating an atmosphere. Nothing wrong with fans trying to create some noise. Yes he should have been ejected because he ignored the warnings. If you're stupid enough to not take note of the warnings you've been given during the game then its tough sh*t really and not poor from the club.
If I took my boy and some tit continued to restrict his view by continually standing then I'd have no issue with him being booted out if he ignored requests to sit down during normal play.
What exactly did you expect the club to do?

But banning them is completely wrong.

You don't expect fans to read regulations on a ticket though do you? There is when it goes against the regulations you agreed to when buying the ticket, and when it ruins the game for others who might want to just sit down and watch the football match that they paid for.
I suppose you're right with the warnings bit but sitting down is nothing compared to standing up.You can create an atmosphere sat down mate, I dont lose the ability to sing and shout when I sit down. If he chooses to ignore what I would imagine was more than 1 or 2 requests to sit down then I've got little sympathy for him.

I'm just saying that some fans are still unaware that standing isn't allowed at many grounds.Come on mate, it's well known that standing isn't allowed at football matches.
