Owen Hargreaves.

If we could get him fit he'd be fantastic but the odds of that happening have to be very slim unfortunately. Whether it's with us or anyone else however I'd love to see him back playing anywhere near his best, as he was a fine player.

I'm a little surprised there are so many naysayers. Time does blur memories, especially with football being so fluid. He'd have saved us the ignominy of Gareth Barry's woeful World Cup too. I've been criticized for this before, but had Hargreaves and Dean Ashton not suffered so badly over the past three/four seasons England would have been a proper side.

would be a class player if he was fit, but to big of a risk we already have enough injury prone players as it is dont need any more. shame, he is a great player just cant keep him fit.

What is the point?! Despite being a quality player when he is not injured, Everton have enough injury problems on their hands! And we do not need ANOTHER injury prone player

Not a position we need filing at the moment , what did he last in his comeback game? All of 4 minutes , terrible signing at the time by fergie , he was often injured at Bayern and them injuries carried on at United , no thanks .

He's cost United about 450k per game he's played.

We could afford him for about 8 seconds.

Everyone was saying that Saha was a risk, a crazy signing when we took him on a 'pay-as-you-play' deal.

Hargreaves has been quality, but sadly blighted by injury. Had he stayed fit he would be the missing piece in United's jigsaw; the holding midfielder they lack against the real quality sides (see Saturday night).

If he's available and not holding out for ludicrous wages, then it's a no-brainer for me. Get him on the books, try and get him fit. He'll be a massive asset to someone if he overcomes his woes.

Saha WAS a risk......I wonder how much he's cost us per goal....

Also, Pay as you play deals are BANNED by the FA. I'm unsure as to why so many people are quoting them as an option.....Saha was never offered a PAYP deal.....nor would he have been allowed to sign one.

Pay as you play deals maybe illegal but their are ways round it. Basically you pay the player a nominal wage of say one thousand a week and the rest of his pay on appearance for the first team, say for example 25 grand for making the first team.

I don't want Hargreaves, what a crap deal that would be, when did he last play? 2007 maybe? lol He's like Ledley King, someone who should just retire, too many injuries very little games. We should be looking elsewhere

Another Jesper Blomquist/Norman Whiteside deal from Utd. No thanks. Actually we probably got better value from Whiteside than we'll get from Hargreaves

Interesting.....seeing as PAYP deals are BANNED.

Or are you talking about paying Man Utd a fee structured on appearances -- which is not PAYP.

i can see him being any use to a premier league club. He hasnt played enough football. Every time he'd play would be when he's trying to get back to match fitness.
