Everton have an annual injury crisis were we are usually down to the bare bones in the last few months, were even the kitman has a chance of a game, the last thing we need is another injury prone player, but by all means if we sign him i hope i am proved wrong.

YES! we all know the lad has injury trouble but the point is, if we sign him up on a one year deal to give him an opportunity and he then overcomes the injury troubles and hits his peak with us then we have a top top player on our hands and we need more of those if we want to progress.

I suspect he probably is finished. If there's a chance that he could return to the level he was at though, I don't see why we shouldn't invite him to train with us with a view to a deal once he'd proven his fitness. The last crock we had from Old Trafford didn't turn out too bad.

I'd guess his tendinitis has really finished things for him. Mind you, I don't think you have to name your 25 man squad till the end of Aug so you could give him a contract till then with an option to extend if he can prove his fitness in pre / early season.

Don't know if he'd go for that or whether he's just had enough, but you're a long time retired as a footballer.

This hasn't actually been in a paper or rumoured, but I saw this lads been let go by Man Utd, presumably because of his injury problems, which admittedly are very bad and extended, BUT when he's fit I won't apologise for suggesting that he's possibly one of the world's finest midfield players, So the question is would he be worth taking the risk on on say a pay as you play contract?, yes would be my opinion.

Ithink he's goosed to be honest mate and would cost more in medical fees to be honest

If we can get him on a pay as you play deal, then there is no risk, is there? Bar maybe a signing on fee.

Aren't we overstocked in centre midfield anyway, though?

And he'd do more than Anichebe would all season. Sign him up. Its all psychological with Hargreaves, get his head straight, get a class act on our hands.

There is risk in any signing which is expressed in the fee, in this case, none. If his terms reflect the risk, then it would be worth it.

Id go David Vaghan to be fair, never really rated Hargreaves when fit so with the injuires i would just say no, expect a Wes Browen link shortly.

I think his injury has finished him, but on a pay as you play contract we have nothing to lose but may
gain a great player!

Everyone was saying that Saha was a risk, a crazy signing when we took him on a 'pay-as-you-play' deal.

Hargreaves has been quality, but sadly blighted by injury. Had he stayed fit he would be the missing piece in United's jigsaw; the holding midfielder they lack against the real quality sides (see Saturday night).

If he's available and not holding out for ludicrous wages, then it's a no-brainer for me. Get him on the books, try and get him fit. He'll be a massive asset to someone if he overcomes his woes.
