If we're gonna play him out wide, he's much better down the left than the right (Birmingham, the Derby and today, all wins!)...although I nearly got a semi when Billy came on and did that cute little shimmy run and brought the foul, tasty stuff that was!

SEE??? Osman back=Win.

Argue that logic, Azul.

Ossie is a limited player, but fully committed to the cause. The quintessential squad player, but I assume he's on fairly moderate wages and is worth what we pay him.

There's been higher paid flops that have been and gone through the gates of Goodison; we need the odd player who, whilst not exactly setting the world alight with his football, will put a shift in when asked to.

It's when we actually rely on the likes of Osman and Hibbert that I worry a bit!

This although I've never worried about Hibbert.

Actually isn't Osman one of very bestest footballers?? He's got more skill, technique and ability than most in our squad.

He was lucky mate, we won despite Osman.

every player on that pitch today deserves credit, osman has been out for a while and helped the defence and attack untill he ran out off legs, good shift as always from him. the two timmys won us that today tho!

Plus has a whisper of a shot not the dreaded cannoball. But he can juke & jive and piroette around players. Put him on the pitch we win it's as simple as that no matter his short comings(pun intended).

One thing to mention - this dude is ONE HARD WORKER. I never ever ever see Osman not giving 150%. It's great.

He had a good game yesterday, he maybe went central a bit too often but he still linked with baines well.

I think that was by design. It seemed that with the 2-0 lead, Moyes had Anichebe covering the left wing with Osman tucking in to get an extra body in the center of the field against a pretty narrow City attack.
And I agree, he played well. Him drifting to the middle gives Baines plenty of room to attack down the wing.
