I'm the independent voice in this thread pointing out his tendency towards shiteness?

Your opinion on Osman is just the de facto Evertonian norm; he's [Poor language removed].

But he's really not. He's [Poor language removed] on the right, yes, but Tim Cahill's [Poor language removed] there too. Jagielka's [Poor language removed] at RB. Fact is, it's Moyes that picks where players play, and really they should be judged on what their game's about and their preferred position, rather than how well they play out of position.

I'm not making him out to be some kind of little magician, either. No, he's a good central midfield player, but nothing exceptional. However the stick he gets from Evertonians is always out of proportion.

The fans forum appointed saviour of this week is:

Mr L Osman. The winner receives a warm round of applause and encouragement for the first sixty minutes of the next game.

Come on lids, you'll all be reverting to calling him [Poor language removed] soon enough. There are players who can dig us out of this and although I like Leon he won't, reasonable expectations and that.

Go away Azul. No one cares. Think back to the United and Chelsea games last year. One of the best players on the pitch was....

In the centre of a 5 man midfield against teams who let us play football Leon Osman is a quite superb player.

Anywhere else he is decidely average. His size and stature really go against him.

Just a shame he gets played elsewhere so wrongfully, but understandably incurs the wrath of fans for poor performances.

But that has been said for years now and some things never change.

Yay. On Monday night with Arteta still suspended and Pienaar likely to miss through injury he could be the spark we need.

Scraping the barrel here lids.

Besides, Keane is our new saviour.

Osman is ace and you know it.

You're in denial lad. He was quite good before he was injured.

We're not saying he's the one to lift us out of shiteness. Just that he might add something, and perhaps be slightly beneficial.

So chin up.

Ah, (say the cynics) we won't get far with Ossie and Hibbert in the team. Oh, look, we're near the bottom of the league and they've hardly set a foot on the pitch.

Perhaps the haters can get a grip and give him a chance.

Osman is class, always been too small, but he'll run his heart out for the team and attack the next second. Will need him back for January for sure.
